STRIPS CEILINGS, manufactured by PROMETAL

The strips ceilings, manufactured by PROMETAL, are used for decorative ceiling systems or in-room maximization partitions. This product offers the opportunity to execute projects with a great design, due to the variety of blades: in terms of colour or size.

The variety of blades and installation structures provides the opportunity to assemble strips ceilings in a variety of spaces, like airports, offices, exhibition centres, shops, etc.

The strips ceilings hide electrical installations, ventilation facilities, or any technical route suspended in the ceiling cavity and allow access for technical interventions at any point.

SOUNDPROOFING

To ensure good acoustic insulation, perforated panels (see table of perforations) are recommended, being lined on the inside with a hot-dip black filter.

THERMAL INSULATION

Thermal insulation is made with a mattress made of mineral wool or other similar heat-conducting material, positioned above the ceiling.

INTEGRATED SERVICES

The flexibility of the system allows easy mounting of the following accessories:

• Lighting fixtures and devices: light channels, ceilings, embedded spotlights, etc.;

• Air diffusers: air suction and discharge grilles, ceiling diffusers, ventilators, etc.;

• Safety systems: sprinklers, smoke detectors, etc.

• The guarantee of a very good aesthetic result for all products is due to the fact that the factory has a modern painting system based on powder coating.

The wide range of colours ensures that the customer's requirements are met.

The painted products are tested to a resistance of more than 1,200 hours of salt spray.

INSTALLATION SYSTEM

The metal blades manufactured by PROMETAL are mounted on various load bearing structures, depending on the technical requirements of the projects. In general, there are two types of load bearing structures:

• CLASPED ONTO MAIN CARRIER

This typology provides for the mounting of the blades on main carriers. The carriers must be mounted at a distance of 1,270 mm from each other and at a maximum distance.

The hanging system consists of rigid zinc-plated steel hangers and an elastic blade that provides a millimetre adjustment, which allows for a perfect smoothness of the false ceiling.

• LAID ON EXPOSED PROFILES

In this case, the self-supporting metal ceiling is supported on edge profiles (for surfaces with a width of less than 2,500 mm).

STORAGE AND HANDLING

• Blades are stored in dry and covered areas.

• The blades must remain in original packing until installation.

• Cartons must be stored and oriented as per instructions.

• Special care must be used during handling and opening of boxes to avoid damages.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

For proper maintenance, we recommend you to comply with the following instructions:

• Dust should be removed from the surface by wiping them with a clean soft.

• Any greasy stains will be cleaned with the aid of a fine detergent, especially for this type of product.

• Don't use abrasive cleaners or rough fabrics. Cleaning is done by simply wiping and in no case by rubbing.
